About Brenda Anne…

Hi, I’m Brenda Anne.

I’m a wife, mother of twelve, brand-new BYU–Idaho graduate, substitute teacher, PTO president, Relief Society teacher, Mary Kay consultant, writer, planner-lover, and lifelong learner.

Most of what I write grows out of real life — raising a large family, serving in my church and school community, learning in classrooms from both sides of the desk, trying to keep up with a very full life, and noticing the lessons God keeps teaching me in ordinary moments.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and my faith in Christ shapes the way I see the world. Sometimes that shows up directly in what I write. Other times it shows up more quietly — in how I think about children, leadership, service, growth, grief, family, and becoming.

Mary Kay has also been part of my life for a long time. For me, it has never been only about products. It has been about women, confidence, encouragement, growth, courage, conversations, leadership, and learning how to keep showing up.

Effort & Grace™ is where these pieces of my life come together.

It is part journal, part reflection, part practical encouragement, and part record of what I am learning as I try to live faithfully, work diligently, love people well, and leave room for God to make my offering more than I could make it on my own.
